How did I get here? I was a busy professional consultant, constantly travelling, in meetings, creating presentations, writing papers, the list goes on. Booking hotels and travel took up any spare working hours. I spent all my "free time" doing personal admin, shopping, collecting online orders, returning parcels, going to the bank, booking the car service, organising the boiler service, renewing the house and car insurance. In many cases, I was aware that I took more care over business decisions whereas choices for personal admin matters were often driven by time. If I'd had more time, I may have shopped around, got a better deal or identified new suppliers. Above all, I found I never had any time for me.

Then one professional contract came to an end and I decided to have a break for a couple of months before starting a new one. In that time, my sister, also a busy professional but with 2 young children to manage also, asked for my help with a few chores. Whether it was collecting the children from school or returning goods to the shops, helping locate Christmas gifts or simply spending a little time doing some research. In simple terms, there was never enough time in the day for all the little things that needed doing, she needed an extra pair of hands.

I realised however that my sister and I are very different. I thrive on being organised, getting jobs done. Having spent a career in an arena where it can take months or years for a project to come to fruition (assuming it even gets off the ground), I learned that I enjoy the little victories of completing tasks in the short term.

My sister and I are not unique in having busy lives. Everyone has a busy life and most of us spend so much time just keeping on top of things, we don't have time for fun. And so Very Very Organised was born from necessity.

At Very Very Organised, our aim is to give you more hours in the your day. We can help with the small, time consuming tasks leaving you to spend that time as you choose.
